Our department:
 
The Creative Arts Therapy Department is a multidisciplinary department comprised of professionals trained in various Creative Arts Therapy disciplines such as Dance, Art, Music, Poetry, Drama and Expressive Therapy.  The therapists work as part of interdisciplinary treatment teams in in-patient psychiatry, and medically managed detox units. Our staff assess incoming patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy through group and individual work.  The Creative Arts Therapists supervise graduate students, provide Grand Round presentations, and perform inservice trainings.
 
Creative Arts Therapists use verbal and non-verbal expressive disciplines to involve the patients directly in their treatment through the creative process.  Each therapist offers a variety of treatment groups designed to guide patients towards healthy functioning.
