The Music/Movement Connection
Meghan Dempsey, MS, ADTR, LCAT, CMA
Nir Sadovnik, MA, MT-BC, LCAT
Why do we move to music? What is in the music that moves
us? What is our body telling us about how we feel the music? In this
experiential, we will look at the relationship between music and
movement. Using a variety of music choices we will explore the effects of music
on one’s movement experience. The concept of entrainment and its theoretical
foundations will be introduced as a scientific model through which we can begin
understanding this intrinsic connection.
